Things of Dreams Act I: New Editorial

Just remembering the Things of Dreams shoot brings back so much emotion. I set off with fashion photographer and partner in crime, Jolie Zocchi, to conceptualize an editorial that captured the energy of spring and summer, accentuated by the wild beauty of the women we were shooting in an absolutely dreamy location- Park Scherrer in Morcote, Switzerland. Nine models from three different agencies in Milano were shot over the course of three days. We invited four different HMUA's between Bern and Milan to collaborate and in the end used three assistants and had a two-man videography team.
What I was hiding was that I was about three months pregnant and feeling absolutely terrible. I snuck in catnaps in hidden rooms in the various villas in the park as well as in the car between busing around models to and from train stations. Capturing beauty was in the front of my mind, but also the last thing I could concentrate on as I tried my hardest not to puke while making fitting adjustments and standing a few inches from a model's freshly made up face. Anyway, that's a backstage story...
